The Forbes trained/Trundle owned three year old Karinya Rocket was well supported and proved too good in the Parkes Leagues Club 3yo Pace.
After a short tussle for the lead, driver Gary Eyre was able to dictate terms and after a slow first half mile, he sprinted home to prove too good for Calvin Kay Shannon and My Blackeyed Susan.
The margins were 13.3 metres plus two metres in a time of 2.03.4.
Race 2, the Medlyn’s/Castrol Pace, saw Siobhan Shannon (Cindy Bourke) sprint hard after getting a late split to win by a head from Karloo Quade.
Karloo Quade raced without cover and held on well. Taylor Shannon ran third a further 4.6 metres back.
The time was a slow 2.04.3.
In the TAB.com.au Competitive Stakes, Dubbo Pacer It’s Wellsaid (James Sutton) led throughout and was too strong for Spanish Lustre who sat behind the leader with Our Machalena third.
The runner-up fired in a protest for interference on the first turn but it was quickly dismissed by the stewards.
Time was a quick 1.59.1 with the margin at 3.8 metres with third place a neck further back.
Written in Style (Steve Turnbull) was the heavily supported favourite in the Welcome Spacemen Pace. After a typical smart drive by Steve, Written In Style was too good for his opposition.
He sat third on the fence throughout the race, then sprinting quickly down the home straight.
Flight Express ran home well from midfield to be beaten by only 1.6 metres.
Race leader Zenitra Shannon held on well to run third, a half head away.
Mile rate was 2.00.9.
The Parkes Farm Centre Pace saw long priced runner Hurrysound (Monique Parsons) too strong for his rivals.
After being driven hard to hold the lead, Hurrysound ran even quarters and then kicked clear along the back straight.
Tulhurst Candy joined in on the home turn and looked like she was going to race away, but Hurrysound found his second wind to score by 7.6 metres.
Tulhurst Stacey ran third, another 10.3 metres behind. Mile rate was 2.00.3.
The locals were cheering in the last race, the Exide Batteries Pace, when the Brett Hutchings trained Cankickatarget (Murray Sullivan) saluted.
After having a nice sit behind the leader in a fast run race, Cankickatarget peeled wide on the final turn and ran home strongly to score by 1.1 metres from Jedi Mind.
Another 2.5 metres behind in third place was Vienna Eyre.
Mile rate was 2.00.4.
Pacing will return to Parkes Paceway when the PHRC hold another Sunday afternoon meeting on July 19.
