The state's road safety body is yet to discover why a four-metre light post crashed to the footpath on Anzac Bridge around midday on Monday's public holiday.

Cyclist Hayden Brotchie, who rides over the bridge several times a week, said he arrived five minutes after the light pole had toppled.
"I'm not so worried about the [pole] on the ground; it's the ones that I've got to ride past," Mr Brotchie said.
"If it had fallen on the road it could have been an incredible accident."
Pictures taken by Mr Brotchie show rust at the base of the pole and along its cracked edge.
Fairfax Media walked the length of the bridge and found signs of rust and discolouration - mostly very small - near the bases of 11 of the 15 poles.
A Roads and Maritime Services spokesman said all pedestrian light poles on the Anzac Bridge had now been inspected.
"Around a dozen poles were replaced early last year and the pole which fell yesterday had not previously needed to be replaced," the spokesman said.
"After today's inspection it was determined no further poles need to be immediately replaced but inspections will continue in coming months to ensure safety for all bridge users."
An investigation into the cause of the crash was continuing.
