He shared it with no other.
But then his parents introduced a brand new baby brother. UH oh.
This morning Parkes Shire Library is taking part in Australia’s biggest storytelling session - where children all over the country are read the same book, at the same time.
The book featured will be The Brothers Quibble by Aaron Blabey, published by Penguin Random House Australia – an amusing, rhyming picture book about how an older brother reacts to the arrival of a brand new baby brother.
It’s the Australian Library and Information Association’s (ALIA) National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) which is an annual event aimed at encouraging more young Australians to read and enjoy books.
More than 450,000 children in more than 3,000 locations including schools, public libraries, kindergartens, childcare centres, bookshops and homes across Australia will have the same book read to them.
Parkes Shire Library staff make this event a fun, interactive and memorable occasion for children of all ages.
Don’t miss all the antics of Simultaneous Story Time today at 11am at the Parkes Shire Library.
