Parkes is not among them.
Mr Cobb revealed building of the fixed wireless network had commenced at Bathurst East, O’Connell, Manildra, Mumbil and Yeoval.
“The NBN roll-out is happening faster than anyone ever anticipated and the best part is Calare is benefiting from one of the fastest roll-outs in the state, if not the country,” Mr Cobb said.
“This announcement follows news earlier in April that more than 13,700 premises in Bathurst and surrounding areas will soon have access to fibre-to-the-node internet services.
“It’s pleasing that hundreds more households in Calare will soon have access to fast and reliable internet services that have not often been available to us in the country.”
Mr Cobb said it’s expected that broadband and phone services will be able to be connected to the NBN at these new locations within 12 months.
New wireless sites:
* Bathurst East, 125 premises;
* O’Connell, 256 premises;
* Manildra, 249 premises;
* Mumbil, 243 premises;
* Yeoval, 230 premises.
