What is a ukulele?
Renault Club members found out as they laughed their way through a vintage British comedy at the Amusu Theatre at Manildra.
Entrants declared the 14th Renault 4CV Muster one of the friendliest and most interesting for years.
The food! Everyone raved about the food.
This was supplied by local restaurants, volunteers (eg. the ladies at the Forbes Information Centre) and local school parents and citizens (one principal said they can now purchase a much needed playground shade).
Attractions such as the Amusu Theatre, the Dish and The Camel Races provided plenty of entertainment.
Members were based in Forbes, and travelled to Parkes, Manildra, Eugowra and surrounding districts.
All agreed that the highlight of their trip was the friendliness shown to them wherever they went.
“People were so welcoming and interested,” George Cook, a founding member of the Muster said.
The Deputy Mayor of Forbes, Graham Miller, chose a 1964 Renault Caravelle as theMayor’s Choice.
This beautiful car, owned by Phil and Sally Thompson of South Australia, was formerly owned by a Parkes lady, Peta Coote.
It spent many years in the display at Parkes Motor Museum.
The organisers wish to thank Forbes and Parkes Shire Councils, Shannons and JohnDavis Motors of Orange and Forbes for their help and support in making this event such a success.
When people from seven states say it is the best yet, and say they are coming back, it must be good.
Best of all – country hospitality.
