Megan has been the Nursing Unit Manager of Operating Theatres at Parkes Hospital for the last 18.5 years and has witnessed many changes during this time.
Megan travelled from Forbes each day and was often on-call to attend emergency caesareans – where she always made new mums feel very supported in the operating unit.
Megan has been an excellent teacher and mentor for any new staff learning the specialised field of the Operating Theatre Nurse.
With the redevelopment of the new Parkes Hospital, Megan has been very instrumental in the upcoming transition to the new and modern operating theatres.
The Hospital organised a farewell morning tea for Megan where many of her workmates spoke highly of her and her work practices during her time at Parkes.
Megan responded and commented on how she has truly loved working there and will surely miss the many good friends she has worked with over the years.
Megan is excited with her duties now to be a doting grandmother to her first grandchild.
