The Glenelg penthouse is like a bird's nest carefully crafted atop a towering tree in what is a fascinating suburb when it comes to the types of properties on offer.
While the median price in Glenelg is $620,000 for a house and $430,000 for an apartment, prices paid in the last year started from just $175,000 for a tiny one-bedder at 5/37 Pier Street close to Brighton Road.
At the other end, a buyer splurged $4 million on 59/32 Colley Terrace in the lead-up to Christmas. That flash penthouse had four-bedrooms, three bathrooms and 360 square metres of living.
It certainly is nice to dream!
