Junior Coordinator Robert Hey and his band of helpers are certainly happy with the consistent roll up of juniors each Sunday.
However, the Parkes Golf Club is open to any new junior player who would like to go and experience the fun and enjoyment that golf can provide.
The junior golf sessions are a great opportunity to meet new friends and be a part of one of the largest participation sports in the world.
The award winners from last Sunday were Jack Rice for fantastic putting.
It would be debatable if there is a better putter at the club than Jack.
Harry Simpson continues to show the benefit of practicing at home with a solid display of hitting that proves players do not have to be big to hit the ball well.
Anook received an award for showing great all round skills in all areas of the game.
A number of the older juniors also participated in a nine hole competition to improve their skills as well as submitting their scores to achieve a nine hole handicap.
The older golfers will be able to participate in upcoming nine hole events in conjunction with the Forbes and Condobolin junior programs.
This will not only improve their standard of golf but widen their circle of friends.
The junior program would also like to remind all of the junior golfers that there is a two day holiday golf camp at Forbes on April 13-14.
The camp costs $60 per person and includes two days of coaching, morning teas and BBQ lunches.
The camp will follow the Frank Spice Forbes Junior Classic on the April 12, which is open to all junior golfers with a handicap.
The classic also caters for junior golfers without a handicap in a nine hole competition.
Applications are available at the club.
New juniors who do not have their own clubs, there are plenty for children of all ages to enjoy and use.
The club look forward to seeing all interested juniors this Sunday from 9am to 11am.
