The following members were elected to office:
President - Mrs Shirley Hunter; secretary - Mrs Ann Crasti; treasurer - Mrs Jan Ranger; vice-president - Mrs Barbara Magill; and publicity officer - Colleen Cusack.
Members are excited about the staging of the 35th Floral Fair which will take place on May 16 and 17, at the Parkes Leagues Club.
It promises to be one of the biggest fairs with a large number of visitors from all over NSW expected to attend.
The New South Wales Floral Art Association have joined forces with Parkes group to stage the Floral Fair.
There will be numerous demonstrations from the best Floral Designers seen in Parkes.
The usual demonstration is programmed for the Saturday which will coincide with the delicious afternoon tea available.
On the Sunday, demonstrations and workshops will be held for those who would like to participate.
Emphasis of the fair will be on fun and celebration as 35 years is great milestone for the Parkes group.
With the help and cooperation of members, the fair promises to be the best ever.
The Society were fortunate to receive a grant from Northparkes Mine to enable them to stage such a wonderful exhibition, for which they are truly grateful.
Note the date of the fair in diaries now - May 16 and 17.

A workshop will be held on Saturday, March 14, at Cook Park Community Centre from 1.30pm for those people who would like to try their hand at Floral Art.
