One of the night’s closest matches was between Chloe Mason and James Basman.
The first game was so close, scores were tied at 14-all.
A ‘long’ call saw Chloe take the lead 17-15.
James got the upper hand in game two, winning 15-12.
Game three was another very close contest with another tied game at 14-all.
A ‘long’ call again went in Chloe’s favour, deciding the match by one point 17-16.
Christian Drew and Tilly Basman are both improving quickly and played a tight match.
Scores were tied at 14-all with a ‘short’ call giving Christian the edge, 15-14.
Game two saw Tilly take advantage and even the scores with a strong 15-12 win.
Newcomer Maddie McGrath has taken to squash quite naturally.
Maddie went up against Charlie Strudwick.
Charlie has been taking some coaching over the holidays and it was certainly evident during his match.
Maddie was able to get the advantage in the first game, with a narrow 15-12 win.
The second game saw the score tied at 14-all.
A ‘short’ call saw Charlie capitalise and take the win by one point.
Maddie’s sister Makayla has also picked up squash and played Rhianna Gilby.
Both girls are definitely showing promise, with some great points played.
Makayla just got the edge this week 15-9.
Daryia Griffith and Bronte O’Shannessy played a great game last week.
Daryia got the edge in the first 15-13, before Bronte settled in and took the next two games, 15-12 and 15-13.
