Mens and mixed touch football teams from around Australia have entered the carnival for councils to contest for the title of the fittest and most skillful.
The event is also an excellent chance for council staff to network with other LG organisations.
The carnival has been hosted by Parkes for the past 22 years and is organised by council staff with assistance from the Parkes Sports Council.
Now entering its 23rd year, the annual carnival is open to teams comprising of employees of Australian, State and Local governments, allied organisations and their families.
This weekend will see teams travel from as far as Brisbane to participate in the fun sporting competition with the event seen as a popular component of the Local Government event calendar in NSW.
Food and beverage stalls will be available at the carnival.
Council are encouraging everyone in the Shire to go out to Cheney Park on Saturday, February 28, and show their support for all the 2015 LG touch competitors.
