The Parkes sub-branch of the RSL is holding the event at the Parkes Services Club on a date to be decided, but possibly in March.
Sub branch president, Arthur Parker said the competition is a unique way to commemorate such a historic event in history.
“We are inviting, urging, local residents and people throughout the west to take part and sing a World War One song,” he said.
“We hope schools, choirs, individuals male and female, seniors and juniors, businesses, clubs such as Quota, View, Rotary, Golf Club and other sports groups, motels and hotels etc join in the fun.
“We know there are many people who had relatives who fought in WW1 and this will be a very good way of remembering them and showing respect for what they endured.”
Prizemoney will be awarded in the various categories.
Entries close today and nomination forms are available at the Services Club, 2PK and the Champion Post.
