Mr Lionel Lovett and Year 6 student Nicayden Greenwood opened the night with the “Welcome to Country”.
The school choir, under the guidance of Mrs Colleen Leonard and Mrs Sonia Bland performed “Christmas Wish”.
Principal, Leanne Breaden gave the Principal’s Report for 2014 and Mrs Linda Reilly delivered the Parents Report which covered the activities of the P&C.
The presentations of the evening commenced with the Sports Awards.
Sporting Medallions were presented to the swimming, athletics and cross country champions.
Swimming champions are:
Junior Boys Swimming Champion: Liam Moody
Junior Girls Swimming Champion: Meg Turner
Senior Boys Swimming Champion: Jason Wright
Senior girls Swimming Champion: Cassandra Ward
Athletics champions are:
Junior Boys Athletics Champion: Zeke Harris

Senior girls Cross Country Champion: Abbey Greenaway.
This year a Parkes Public School student was awarded a Sporting Blue, the highest award achievable in the New South Wales Schools Sporting Association.
This year it was awarded to Kyle Thompson, for his selection in the New South Wales Boys’ Hockey Team.
Each year one student is awarded a NSW Premier’s Sporting Challenge Medallion.
This award goes to a student who has been a role model to other students at Parkes Public School, has shown a commitment to fair play, represented in school, Lachlan Area and Western Region teams during his primary schooling in a variety of sports.
This year the medal went to Mitch Wright.
The major sports award is the Sportsperson of the Year.
The sportsperson of the year went to a person who has represented Western region in four sports this year- tennis, hockey, touch and soccer.
The sportsperson of the year for 2014 was Cassandra Ward.
The Wakeman/James Indigenous Sportsperson Award went to Wilson Duffy.
Class awards were presented to eight students from each class from Years 3 to 6. Each teacher awarded books and certificates to students who worked diligently throughout the year.
The Rotary Citizenship Award went to students who have displayed excellent citizenship qualities through leadership, initiative and example.
The recipients of the Rotary Citizenship awards were Matthew Dillon and Ashleigh Ward.
The Brandon Kovacs Memoral Award for Leadership went to a prefect who has consistently provided a strong role model and who has consistently participated in all duties required of a prefect - Grady Magill.
The Quota Club Service Award recognises students who have given outstanding service to the school over a period of time. These awards went to Jackson Guy and Katie Tanswell.
The Con Diamond Best All Rounder Award is for willingness to participate and outstanding commitment across a wide range of sporting, academic and community activities.
This award went to Kyah Turnbull.
The Cliff Field Family Trophy is for the most determined student in obtaining their personal best in all aspects of school life. The award went to Sakiasi Sodrodro.
The Parkes Public School Creative Arts award was given to Tianna Simpson for participation in Visual Arts and music and Elizabeth Hoyle for participation in Eisteddfods, Performing Arts and choir.
The “School spirit” award is chosen by the current Year 6 students - and went to Nicayden Greenwood.
Excellence in Mathematics Award for outstanding achievement - Dominic Riley.
Mrs Carter, Parkes High School Principal presented the Sir Henry Parkes Learning Community Award to Amelia Green for commitment to learning.
The Dux of the School Award was awarded to Archie Lickess.
At the conclusion of the night Mrs Leanne Breaden announced the 2015 captains and Vice Captains.
Girl captain is Elizabeth Hoyle, boy captain Zayne Ehsman, girl vice captain Gracie Jones and boy vice captain Brody Clarke.
