All intending players are urged to nominate on the nomination sheet which is located in the clubhouse.
However, post entries will be accepted with players urged to register prior to 8.45am for a scheduled 9am shotgun start.
Parkes Golf Club Captain Paul Thomas stated that the competition was being conducted due to demand as golfers are now working more shift hours rather than the traditional 9-5 jobs.
With the town now experiencing a rapid growth in the shift worker positions, it has become a necessity to cater for these personnel.
Thomas also stressed that the competition will be open not only to players who hold a Golf Australia handicap but to non-handicap players also.
These players will be given a handicap through the Callaway Handicapping System.
All players must be a member of the Parkes Golf Club or an affiliated golf club.
Players who are not members at the time of joining must become either a full or social playing member after an initial qualifying period of three months.
Like all competitions, a fee of $20 will apply.
This fee entitles players to a complimentary rissole sandwich at the conclusion of each scheduled event and also covers all golf costs, including participation in nearest the pin competitions.
Part of the fee will be used for prize vouchers.
Dress regulations will apply with players to wear either shorts or trousers with a collared shirt, short white socks and either golf shoes or joggers.
Singlet type shirts will not be allowed.
The competition is being conducted by the Match Committee of the Parkes Golf Club and their decision is final.
