Central Station was certainly rockin’ and rollin’ this morning as more than 400 Elvis look-a-likes and fans prepared for the annual trip to the Parkes Elvis Festival on the Elvis Express.
And despite a lengthy delay en-route, the revellers arrived in Parkes at about 6pm to be greeted by hundreds of people at the railway station.
The Elvis Express will return to Sydney on Monday, with travellers no doubt feeling a little worse for wear after four days of partying.
“Elvis Express first started nine years ago with 16 fans onboard but this year tickets were sold-out in just 19 minutes,” NSW TrainLink’s Chief Executive Rob Mason said.
Pictured are scenes of the Express’ arrival in Parkes this evening, and some of the hundreds who were there to greet them.
