The B Grade front draw saw Pyes take on Van Der Merwes, without captain Kent.
All but one match was won in three games with a great battle between Mel Olney and Brian Mann going to four.
Brian started off well, scoring 15-12.
Mel fought hard and took the next three games 15-3, 15-10 and 15-6.
Pyes took the final with ease, 33-17.
The back draw in B grade was taken out by Nightingales.
They beat Hogans 26-24 in a very close final.
The front draw in A grade went down to the last match between captain Luke Williams and second liner Kristen Nightingale who was subbing in for captain Ryan Smart.
Kristen took the first game easily 15-7, before Luke found some form and took the second 15-11. Kristen again turned the tables to take a 2-1 lead (15-11).
Some coaching and cheering from the gallery may have helped Luke gain the edge in the final two games (15-8, 15-10) and also clinch a win for his team.
Williams’ Line 4 player Ron Jackson deserves recognition for his teams victory after winning his own match 3-0 against Gaylene Nightingale (15-12, 15-9, 15-11), before subbing in for Pete Weber on Line 3 and taking the match in four (9-15, 15-11, 15-12, 15-11) against Shanna Nock.
Ron was not so lucky when he met Kristen Nightingale to sub in for Mitch Helm on Line 2, but still managed to score a further two points for his team.
Ron accounted for 17 of his team’s 26 points over Smarts’ 24.
The A Grade back draw was taken out by Kross over Kings 30-20.
