The 'Roustabout' carnival precinct in Cooke Park will be the place to cool off at this year's Parkes Elvis Festival, with a new dunk tank to feature where you can make a splash.
Volunteers have the opportunity to raise cash for the not-for-profit organisation of their choice.
Local clubs, schools and not-for-profit organisations can book an hour or two and have their members dunked for a donation.
Part of the free activities in the Cooke Park markets and stage precinct, the dunk tank is sure to be a festival hit.
A dunk tank featured in the classic 1964 Elvis Presley film 'Roustabout', which is the 2015 Festival theme film.
The dunk tank will be located among other attractions including a jumping castle, cup'n'saucer ride, high-striker and over 70 market stalls around Cooke Park.
“We're very excited to present great amusements in Cooke Park this year,” said Festival Director Emily Mann.
“We hope local clubs and organisations take the plunge and sign up for the dunk tank to raise money for their community group or charity.”
The dunk tank will operate from 12pm noon Thursday, January 8, to 4pm Sunday, January 11, in Cooke Park with plenty of spots available to book.
To book your club or organisation's spot, contact the Parkes Visitor Information Centre on 6862 6000 or email tourism@parkes.nsw.gov.au to nominate a time and your details.
