Three residents were featured last Friday, and more are welcomed today.
In all, there have been an amazing 32 citizenships ceremonies in 2014.
Four took place on May 20, 11 on July 1, eight on October 7 and nine on December 2.
The latest Aussies are Samir Seaid and his son, Sam Rahim and Sam’s wife, Ann Shaba Kamil.
Parkes Shire General Manager, Kent Boyd introduced the family to the last meeting of council, while Mayor Ken Keith conducted the ceremony.
Mr Seaid arrived in Australia in 2010 from Iraq with his wife Amira and son Sam, Mr Boyd said.
Mr Seaid has two other children, Lisa who lives in the United States and Reem who resides here in Australia.
Samir is a retired University Professor who specialised in Analytical Chemistry.
He enjoys reading, listening to music and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr Rahim arrived in Australia in 2010 with his wife Ann and three children Mena, Dema and Bashar from Iraq.
Sam is a General Practitioner in Parkes since arriving in 2012.
He enjoys playing the keyboard, swimming, biking and touring.
Ms Kamil has been a General Practitioner for the last 14 years and enjoys cooking, reading and dancing.
The couple’s three children also received their citizenship.
Mena Samir is 12 years old, Dema is 10 and Bashar is six.
