Reedy Creek’s Scott Knights was once again in splendid form as he compiled a stand out innings of 65no to guide Reedy Creek to a total of 126 in 32 overs.

Royals’ opening batsmen Myles Smith (59) and Paul Dunford (40) launched a savage attack upon the Reedy Creek bowlers to put on 83 runs for the sixth wicket.

Cambridge Cats claim top spot in A grade
Cambridge continued their good form at Northparkes Oval to record a very convincing victory over Commercial Colts and consequently take the lead in the 2014/15 A grade premiership.
Batting first, Commercial Colts were doing well until Dale Matheson produced some splendid bowling to capture the key wickets of Peter Yelland and Jake Atkinson.
In particular, the swinging yorker that rattled Jake Atkinson’s stumps was a delivery that Dale should be proud of.
Solid batting by Mitch Wheeldon (46 with 4 fours) and Hayden Sealey (32 with 3 fours) had Commercial Colts in a competitive position before Russell McAuthor clean bowled Sealey.
From there, Commercial Colts lost wickets at regular intervals to collapse and be all out for 106.
Andrew Johns, fresh from rejoicing about the fact that he took a wicket off the only ball he delivered, then opened the batting with the ever reliable Shane Hodges.
These two players played a series of strong shots to put on 64 for the first wicket before Anthony Heraghty arrived at the crease to guide Cambridge to a big win and the A grade premiership lead.
