The new owners of Pink Orchid café de Flowers are combining the best of both worlds under their Bushman Street roof and the result is a delight to the senses.
Jarryd Milne has baked his way around the world and has returned home to the central west to spoil Parkes locals with his finely honed recipes for delicious cakes, tarts and all kinds of indulgent treats.
Jarryd has a passion for local ingredients and, where possible organic produce that not only allows for the most authentic flavours but also delivers a healthier satisfaction.
Alice Milne began her career in floristry under the strict guidance of some of Sydney’s best floral designers.
Alice’s first store, Chocolate&Moss in Scone, has a reputation for quality flowers and beautiful styling and it is with this flair that Alice hopes to serve the community of Parkes.
“I believe that flowers can speak life and love into even the darkest of moments” Alice said.
“They lift a room from neat and tidy to a warm space filled with care and vitality.
“We are in awe of how much Reg and Lyn achieved as the owners of the Pink Orchid Café de Flowers and can only hope that their loyal customers remain patient with us as we seek to provide the best service possible.”
Jarryd and Alice hope to retain much of the original philosophy of the Pink Orchid as they plan to renovate in January and meet 2015 with the gusto on those dedicated to deliciousness on every level.
