A pedestrian has died after being hit by a truck in the inner city.

The man was hit at the intersection of William and Bourke streets in Woolloomooloo about 11.45am on Monday.
It is believed he was struck while crossing William Street, police said.
The truck driver was not injured but has been taken to hospital to undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.
William Street was re-opened in both directions at 2pm and traffic was returning to normal, the Transport Management Centre said.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the incident to contact investigators.
The man is believed to be aged in his 60s.
