One new player was Daria Griffiths.
Daria took to the game easily and managed to get some great points and push Chester Kelly in three close games.
Chester won in straight sets.
Daria will be one to watch in the not too distant future.
Jolie O’Shannessy also joined up on Friday night and showed some great skill.
Jolie met with Hannah McColl.
Scores couldn’t get much closer with both girls getting a game, and Hannah taking the decider 15-14.
Dimity Taylor is improving each week.
The Thursday training sessions are really paying off for Dimity and it showed when she played James Basman.
James took the match in three, but Dimity scored 13, 12 and 13.
James Ellery is improving weekly.
James showed great form to take all three games off Will Blunt, another player who will be one to watch.
Both boys served well and thought about shot placement.
Will’s sister Hannah is also fast improving.
Hannah met Bronte O’Shannessy.
Bronte took the match in three, but the games were extremely close.
Scores see-sawed with the girls getting into long rallies.
Two of the newcomers, Tilly Basman and Havanah Gilby, also played a close long game.
It was great to see so much sportsmanship and willingness to learn from both girls.
Havanah was the winner, but both girls showed great improvement throughout the match.
Junior squash is held each Friday night at 6pm and cost $5.
Training is also available Thursday afternoons after school and Saturday mornings for $5.
Squidgies Squash (for 4-7 year olds) is held Saturdays at 10.30am.
Cost is $5.

Last week Parkes Services Squash Centre visited Parkes East Public School with the inflatable squash court.
It was a fantastic day of introducing the game of squash to students and allowing them to try some squash skill activities.
Jordan Sloane and Ron Clarke did a great job helping to run the program.
The centre is hoping to visit all local schools.
If a school hasn’t booked in, please contact the squash centre on 6862 4555.
