The fire broke out on a vacant block between a couple of houses, but was stopped at the fence line of the properties.
An area of the paddock was burnt out.
Parkes Fire Brigade, three Rural Fire Service units, Parkes Shire Council and Police were on the scene.
Fire captain, Craig Gibson said the services did well, bringing the blaze under control in about an hour and preventing any property damage.
