Relay For Life is an overnight, community event where teams participate in a relay-style walk or run to raise funds for the Cancer Council.
The event brings the whole community together for a night of fun, entertainment, celebration and remembrance.
Hosting a Mini Relay is a great way for schools to get involved in Relay For Life; children seek sponsorship, donations or lap pledges from friends and family and then on a designated school day, altogether walk laps around their school grounds or oval.
Parkes East Public School is aiming to raise a fantastic $1500 in support of their community and the fight against cancer.
The Mini Relay starts at 10:10am and is being organised by teacher, Mrs Maureen Massey.
