Throw in favourites from film and cabaret and what you are promised is an evening of beautiful music and fun entertainment
The show is touring around country areas and from the outset Jessica has planned to make a connection with each town by including local talent.
In Parkes, she has chosen to include two soloists - her sister Rachael along with Madeline Hanns who recently featured as Mabel in the Parkes M and D Society production of Pirates of Penzance.
Rachael has studied voice since she was 15 and is currently being tutored by Gail Smith.
Possessing a beautiful soprano voice, Rachael has enjoyed performing with her musical family and in local M&D productions for the last 10 years.
Madeline Hanns moved to Parkes from Boorowa after completing her HSC.
She possesses a gorgeous coloratura voice.
Along with Rachael she is excitedly looking forward to performing ain the Rising Stars’ concert in Parkes.
As well, part of the program will be the choirs from Middleton Public and Parkes Public Schools.
Middleton will feature at the Tuesday evening concert and Parkes Public at the Wednesday night performance.
On each of the concert days, Jessica and her friends will visit the schools and conduct educational workshops focusing on techniques and performance with the odd game or two thrown in.
“On behalf of my fellow performers may I issue a general invitation to the Parkes community to join us at the Little Theatre either Tuesday, November 4, or Wednesday, November 5 for what I promise will be a great night’s entertainment,” Jessica said.
“Come both nights if you wish; You won’t be disappointed.”
