In second place were Suzie McNamara and Beth Symington with 55.2%, followed by Jenny Freeman and Joan Reilly on 53.1%.
Unfortunately, Robyn and Wendy were not present when the results were read out so they missed the applause.
They were last ‘sit-out’ on the night so had left early.
On Thursday, October 16, competition was held at the home of Bev and Lew Laing because of a wake at the Railway Bowling Club.
Bev made good use of her home advantage when she combined with Rosemary Morris for 62% to top the results.
The pair were followed by Jan and Jenny Freeman on 59.7%, Peter Dorn and Fay Davis 52.8%, Anne Berkeley and Gai Baker 51.4%, and Dawn Phipps and Eve Hayes 50.5%.
Last Monday, Bev combined with Beryl Twardy for 57.7% to finish on top.
The club were happy to see Beryl and hopes she can line up more often at Bridge.
In second place were Stephen and Rosemary Morris 55.4%, followed by Wendy Andrews and Robyn Sheridan 51.8%, and Margaret Hawken and Joan Reilly 51.2%.
Last Tuesday was a poor field with only three tables.
Some of the Tuesday ‘beginners’ must be out on the golf course or on holidays.
Winners were Keith Fiedler and Eve Hayes 60%, followed by Val Worthington and Jan Freeman 55%, and Jan Latter and Joan Reilly 53%.
The club extends best wishes to the players who will travel to Dubbo this weekend for the Bridge Conference Pairs and Teams.
