Playing for Parkes Marist, Jesse scored a brilliant solo try to win the $20,000 first prize.
His try was selected as the best by popular vote with thousands of people choosing it over a number of other top class efforts.
The try started with Jesse receiving the ball deep in his own half where he chipped over the defensive line.
Chasing his own kick, Jesse surveyed the oncoming cover defence before toeing through again.
He sped after the ball, regathered and dived over for an amazing try beside the posts.
It was a spectacular effort.
Jesse attends Red Bend Catholic College and is currently in Year 10.
He has played for Parkes Marist Junior Rugby League Club for the past nine years and has represented Parkes and his school in multiple representative sides over this time including Group 11, Western Rams, Southern Country, Western Academy just to name a few.
Jesse was coached locally this season by well known sportsmen Jamie Szczerbanik and Tony Dwyer.
He believes without their guidance and motivation he would not push himself to achieve as much as he does.
Their Under 16s team dominated the Lachlan premiership this season.
Jesse has just returned from an eye-opening rugby league trip to Papua New Guinea.
Jesse and the rest of his family would like to thank Parkes for getting behind him and helping vote him to victory.
They would also like to say a huge thank you to the Footy Show and Channel Nine for the chance to enter the competition.
