The Parkes Public School girls hockey team participated in the annual Lois Jones Cup Gala Day. This competition involves games between Middleton Public School, Parkes East Public School, Holy Family and Parkes Public School.

Parkes Public girls first game was against Parkes East.
It was an excellent game with both teams playing very well.
parkes Public proved too strong, winning 3-0.
Jordan Moody scored two goals while Ashleigh Ward scored one.
Their second game was against Middleton.
It was the most challenging game for the girls, playing out a 1-all draw after a fantastic goal from Cassandra Ward.
The third and final game against Holy Family was another close match.
Parkes Public won the game 1-0 with Cassandra Ward again scoring the only goal of the game.
The result made Parkes Public School joint winners with Middleton Public School.
This is the last year in the team for Cassandra Ward, Ashleigh Ward, Ella Morrissey, Amber Herft, Jessica Sellings, Katie Tanswell and Annalise Maier.
They head off to high school next year after great success in their Parkes Public School hockey endeavours.
