The Pink Dishes meet on the first Saturday of each month from February through to December at the Bent Restaurant, on the corner of Court Street and Currajong Street at 11:30am for lunch.
McGrath Breast Care Nurse Dianne Green said members of the community who have experienced breast cancer are encouraged to attend the monthly informal lunches.
“The lunches provide a great opportunity for women within the community who have experienced breast cancer to support each other and collectively gain information on subjects important to themselves and their families,” she said.
“It doesn’t matter if you had breast cancer years ago or have been recently diagnosed as the meeting is in the form of a friendly lunch”.
The next meeting for “The Pink Dishes” will be on Saturday, October 4, and attendees are invited to wear a dash of pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. No RSVP is required.
If you have any enquiries about the Breast Cancer Support Group you can contact Dianne Green on 0418 765 553 Monday to Friday.
