20 officers of the Parkes Police Force joined members of the community and clergymen at the service.
National Police Remembrance Day is held annually to commemorate the sacrifices made by members of the police force.
The day provides an opportunity for families, colleagues, friends and the community to remember those who gave their lives.
“Police Remembrance Day is our opportunity to honour the sacrifices made by the members of the NSW Police Force,” Minister for Police and Emergency Services Stuart Ayres said in a statement.
“These brave men and women put their lives on the frontline every day for the protection of our own.”
Since the formation of the NSW Police Force in 1862, 252 NSW police officers have died serving the people of NSW.
Lachlan Local Area Commander Superintendent Chris Taylor said he would like to take this opportunity to express his appreciation to the community for their support of this special occasion.
