Magpies ran in six first half goals through Jack Elliott (4), Andrew. Bourke and Dylan Wakefield to put the match beyond doubt with a half of hockey still to play.
Masters rallied well in the second half to score twice through Laurie Wakefield and Tim Wright before Elliott finished off a stellar match scoring again for Magpies to take his personal tally to five goals.
Elliott was named Player of the Match and was well supported by Kurt Lovett, Tim Somers and Andrew Bourke.
For Masters, Graeme Tanswell, Trent Thomson and Tim Wright all played well.
The A grade womens match was a closely contested affair with Cubs maintaining their composure to win 2-1 over a determined Middleton outfit.
Cubs began the match strongly, controlling the midfield well and creating plenty of attacking raids.
They were rewarded with several early penalty corners but the Middleton defence, led by goalkeeper Megan Hornery and fullback Cindy Nutley, pulled off some critical saves.
In the 15th minute, Cubs broke through when Jane Mattiske finished off an excellent attacking move to her side a 1-0 lead.
Cubs extended their lead to 2-0 when Tracey Harrison gave a lovely ball to Denise Gersbach who got a quick reverse stick shot away at goal.
Jess Ross was well placed on the keeper’s pads to pick up the rebound and knock the ball into the net.
Middleton came out firing after the half-time break and gave Cubs defenders Rochelle Smith and Madelyn Williams plenty of work to do.
Middleton were rewarded for their hard work in attack with a penalty corner which India Draper converted from a nice set play to take the score to 2-1.
Cubs held on desperately in defence to claim the premiership with a well-deserved win.
Stacey Ross was named Player of the Match after a great performance in attack.
She was well supported by Mandy Westcott, Rochelle Smith and Jess Ross.
Niamh Dixon was strong for Middleton with Megan Hornery and Sarah Melhuish also performing well.
Middleton continued their unbeaten run for the season, defeating Magpies White 3-0 in the B grade mens grand final.
Magpies put in a valiant performance, particularly as they were without senior players Matt Searl and Paul Carty.
Middleton played a solid match and scored through Scott Allen, Dave Hogan and Gordon McIntosh to claim the title.
Scott Allen was named Player of the Match with Barry Reeves also a stand out performer for Middleton.
Graeme Tanswell and Josh Kearney were best on field for Magpies.
Rovers played an outstanding match to defeat Middleton Maroon 4-0 to claim the B grade womens title.
Rovers used good teamwork to create opportunities which Tammy Tanks, Stacey Ross, Hannah Ross and Emily Green converted.
Middleton Maroon defended strongly but were unable to convert any attacking opportunities of their own.
Tash Tanks was named Player of the Match after a solid performance in goals for Rovers.
Stacey Ross and Monique Labuschagne also had strong games.
For Middleton Maroon, India Draper, Kerrie Nutley and Sue Cooper all played well.
Middleton Pink ran out 3-0 winners over Marist in the C grade grand final.
Middleton Pink made the most of their chances in the circle and scored through Tracey Bolam (2) and Amy Draper.
Marist worked hard all game but turned the ball over in attack too frequently.
Peta Fagan was awarded Player of the Match after dominating in attack for Middleton.
Amanda Draper, Tracey Bolam and Tamara Fagan also had strong matches.
For Marist, Leanne Miles, Michelle Godwin and Karen Deland were solid.
