A 45 year old man was airlifted to Orange Base Hospital suffering head injuries following a motor vehicle accident near Alectown last Sunday afternoon.

Police, ambulance and Alectown RFS were alerted to the accident at 2.20pm.
The driver of a sedan was travelling on the Newell Highway when near the Sandy Lane intersection five kilometres north of Alectown, he crossed to the wrong side of the road, overcorrected and rolled.
He was assisted from the car by a passing motorist before ambulance officers and police arrived.
Because of his head injuries, the decision was made to contact the Air Ambulance who arrived and took him to Orange Base Hospital.
Parkes Shire Council Traffic Control supervised the closure of the Newell Highway for 15 minutes whilst the Air Ambulance landed and took off.

Police are continuing their enquiries into a break and enter at Middleton Public School early yesterday morning.
It is believed that between 2.30am and 3am, offenders jemmied open a classroom window to gain entry.
Initial investigations indicate nothing was stolen.

Obscenities were spray painted onto the tyres of a vehicle and onto roadway in Thurlstone Street early last Saturday morning.

At approximately 4:30am on Sunday, police stopped a vehicle on the Newell Highway near Clarke Street after they noticed it had several defects.
Police spoke to the driver, a 19 year old Forbes woman.
She was submitted to a breath test which returned a positive result and was taken to Parkes Police Station where she underwent a breath analysis.
The reading returned a mid-range PCA of 0.118.
She was issued a court attendance notice for Monday, October 20, and had her driver’s licence suspended.

Between 2:30pm on Saturday, and 9:30am on Sunday, intruders entered the rear yard of a Tullamore business and attempted to gain entry by forcing the rear door open.
They were unable to gain access but did cause damage to the door.

At approximately 5pm on Friday, September 12, two vehicles were involved in an accident in Clarinda Street.
The vehicles were travelling east when the vehicle in front indicated to turn right and stopped at the intersection of Clarinda and High Streets.
The second vehicle collided with the rear.
Police and ambulance officers attended a short time later.
An infringement notice was issued to the driver of the rear vehicle.
Both drivers were also breath tested and the driver of the car in front returned a positive reading.
He was arrested and underwent a breath analysis at Parkes Police Station, which returned a low range reading.
This driver was issued a court attendance notice.

At 12:15am on Sunday, police stopped a vehicle being driven by a 19 year old Forbes man in Close Street after noticing he failed to stop at a stop sign.
The driver underwent a breath test, which returned a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Parkes Police Station where he returned a mid-range PCA reading of 0.134.
The driver was issued a court attendance notice for Monday, October 20, and had his driver’s licence suspended.

An amount of cash, including coins totalling $500, was stolen from a Close Street residence on Monday.
The victim told police of returning home and discovering the toilet window open and the money gone.
The incident occurred between 11.30am and 2.30pm.

A Waeco brand camping fridge was stolen from the back of a ute overnight last Sunday.
The ute was parked in Matthews Street at approximately 8pm.
When the owner went to the vehicle at 8am Monday, he noticed the fridge, valued at $1200, missing.
