The tried and tested combination of John Green and Wayne Powter combined superbly last Saturday to be comfortable two shot victors in the All Glazing & Glass sponsored Twoball Medley Stableford as part of the Bob Smith Memorial Golf Day.

Individually Green and Powter were equally dominant as they recorded 38 and 39 points respectively to combine for 48 points.
They finished two points clear of runners-up Glynis Conroy and Colleen Flynn.
In the individual events played in conjunction, Andrew Pigram cleaned up in the mens section with 40 points while Colleen Flynn received the accolades in the ladies with 38 points for the 18 hole events.
Rick Glover with 24 points was by far the best score in the nine hole competition.
At the presentation of trophies, Michael Smith on behalf of a large Smith family who supported the day, congratulated the Golf Club as well as the winners.
John Green, on behalf of the winning team, thanked All Glazing & Glass for their commitment as well as Michael Smith for his efforts in getting the Smith family together to honour the late Robert Smith.
Colleen Flynn expressed the thoughts of the ladies in accepting her trophy while Brian L. Hogan congratulated Michael Smith and lamented on his association with Bob Smith.
Ball winners were 46 Glynis Conroy and Colleen Flynn, Ian Phipps and Peter Picker, Andrew Pigram and Tim Lasserre, Ann Berkeley and Adrianne Brown, 45 Barbara Donnelly and Sue Holman, Kaye Jones and Bill Warren, and Col Barker and Steve Edwards.
In the nearest the pins, sharp shooting was once again the order and for the second time in the past fortnight, the Idlerite Tyrepower jackpot on the 1st hole was won with Tim Burke hitting his tee shot to 45cm of the pin.
He claimed the four ball jackpot.
On the Griffins Leading Edge, 4th hole, Col Barker hit his tee shot to within 131cm of the pin.
Veteran Garry Phillips at 533cm proved too good on the Dirt Doctor Landscaping 6th hole. On the back nine holes, Michael Mitchelsen posted an easy birdie after his tee shot finished an agonisingly close 25cm from a hole-in-one.
On the difficult Westlime sponsored 15th, Andrew Pigram received two balls after a great tee shot to 400cm from the hole.
On the best-in-two-shots final holes of each nine, Ian Phipps dominated on the Parkes Ready Mixed Concrete 9th hole when he hit a glorious wedge to just 445cm.
On the Parkes Heavy Mechanical Repairs 18th hole, Wayne Parker fired his 9-iron second shot to within 388cm of the cup as both players claimed two balls each.

This weekend, members will be joined by visitors from across NSW for the annual SCT Logistics Parkes Open Tournament on Sunday.
On Saturday, the prelude event, the Atlas Copco Open Fourball Best Ball has attracted a field of some 200 players.
The club is still accepting entries on the official entry form.
They are available at the club or from the club’s website and must be accompanied with the appropriate fee.
The club is seeking the assistance of the members in the donation of cakes, tarts, pies, biscuits or anything sweet for the High Tea on Sunday, September 21.
