More than 100 people including support crew are involved.
Some 15 members of the 1/19th RNSWR Army Reserve are role-playing as enemy during the exercises.
The training involves the use of military aircraft and land vehicles, with drop zones within a 50 kilometres radius of Parkes.
Local residents may notice increased movement in and around the training areas.
Some aircraft noise may result from this training.
However, every effort is being taken to minimise the impact on members of the public.
Personnel participating in the training are carrying weapons, but live ammunition is not being used.
Blank ammunition is used and battle noise simulation is being undertaken.
This training is being conducted to ensure the Australian Defence Force maintains the highest level of capability and is prepared to support Australia’s national interests.
The Australian Defence Force has consulted with all relevant authorities and endeavoured to minimise disruption.
Defence would like to thank local residents and businesses for their continued support and cooperation during this important activity.

The exercise coincided with a jump by members of the Red Beret in Peak Hill yesterday afternoon.
That exercise was part of the REaDing Day promotion and was organised by the Parachute Training School.
