There was a real taste of spring in the air at Wednesday’s main day of the annual Trundle Show where a large crowd of locals joined with visitors in enjoying all the fun of the fair.

The perfect weather conditions was the icing on the cake for the hard working committee and the day’s program was completed without a hitch.
At the official proceedings, President Cranley Gowing welcomed all present before this Year’s Miss Showgirl Sally Taylor declared the 104th show open.
Committee stalwarts Tom Morgan and Milton Blowes were each honoured for 50 years service, before the announcement of the major awards took place.
Local children also delighted in a visit to side-show alley.
The district show circuit will now focus on Peak Hill next Wednesday ahead of the three-day Parkes Show on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, August 25, 26, 27.
