An official sod-turning ceremony will take place at the site of the $70 million hospital at 11am this morning.
Minister for Health Jillian Skinner will be in Parkes for the special ceremony, as well as local State Member for Parkes Troy Grant - now the Minister for Hospitality, Gaming and Racing, and Minister for the Arts - and Federal Member for Calare, John Cobb.
Mayor Ken Keith and local councillors, as well as hospital staff will also be present.
