Noel entered the NSW Ambulance Service in 1986 after spending the first part of his working life in the rural industry.
He did his last working shift last year and has now officially retired.
Noel describes his long career as a paramedic as ‘very rewarding’.
“I have worked with lots of great people over the years and seen many changes in the industry, and I definitely have no regrets” Noel said.
Inspector Peter Rowlands came to Parkes to present Noel with a Certificate of Appreciation, a 27 Year tie pin, and framed wall plaque which included Noel’s badges, pins, epaulettes, national service 25 years, good conduct, and long service achievements.
Now that he has called it a day, Noel has no intention of leaving Parkes.
“While it is great to know that my time will now be my own, there’s no chance I’ll be sitting idle as I already have a long lists of ‘to do’s’ waiting for me,” Noel said.
