CHAMPIONSHIPS
The annual Terry Bros Furniture and Floorcoverings Club Championships are now only two weeks away with the first of the scheduled four rounds set for Saturday, April 26.
All members are advised that the titles will be played over consecutive weekends and player nomination sheets are located on the club noticeboard.
The Terry Bros Club Championships should provide an interesting and close battle as defending titleholder Blake Parker will attempt to win back to back titles.
PREFERRED LIES
Players will now have to play the ball as it lies after the club’s Match Committee decided to turn off preferred lies.
After such a perfect growing season, the club’s fairways can sustain golfers playing the ball as it lies.
All competitions played by members in both mens and ladies will now observe this ruling.
Players are urged to fill in all divots irrespective of whether they created the damage or not.
When playing social or charity day rounds, golfers will be allowed to play preferred lies throughout the course.
JACK BURCH MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
Members are urged to nominate for the Jack Burch Fourball Handicap Matchplay Championship as nominations close on Saturday, April 26.
Players are also requested to check the conditions of play for general competitions which are displayed on the noticeboard in the Members Room.
The event is open to the first 32 pairings who nominate.

Several well-known Orange identities including Mayor John Davis, Pybar Managing Director Paul Rouse, as well as Murray Horstman and his sons will make the trip.
With Terry Davis as the tour organiser, a well planned trip is assured.
