A woman has told a Sydney court she felt "shocked, scared and violated" when Hey Dad! star Robert Hughes came into her bedroom and sexually assaulted her as a teenager living on the city's north shore.

The woman, now in her mid 40s was giving evidence at Hughes' trial in the Downing Centre District Court on Tuesday.
Hughes, 65, is facing 11 charges including sexual assault and indecent assaults on girls aged six to 15 during the 1980s. He has pleaded not guilty.
The woman recalled how, when she first met Hughes, he had been "friendly and interested in our lives", but that she began to feel uncomfortable when he started swimming naked in her family pool at Roseville and touching her.
"It started to change when he started touching me ... just brushing past ... stroking up and down," she said.
She then recalled how, one night when Hughes had come over to her house for dinner between January 1984 and April 1985, when she was 14 or 15, he came into her room while she was sleeping.
"I woke up to Robert kneeling down on the side of the bed and he had his hands down my pants," she said.
"I could see his face really clearly ... He was rubbing around my vagina, just inside.
"I didn't know what to do, I was completely shocked, scared, so I just closed my eyes and thought 'I'm asleep, it won't go on a lot longer.' I pushed his hand away and he moved his hand."
The woman said that Hughes didn't say anything during the alleged assault, and eventually stopped when she pushed his hand away.
Before leaving the room, he allegedly licked her on the left side of her face.
"I was really upset, I started to cry - I was nervous and frightened," she said.
"I was so angry at him.
"I just felt so shocked and scared and violated."
She said Hughes came into room and assaulted her again a number of months later, and that she eventually told her mother.
"I didn't tell her immediately, I just felt mortified ... I was embarrassed ... just really embarrassed about it all."
During cross-examination, Greg Walsh, the lawyer representing Hughes, put it to the woman that his client had never walked around her backyard or swum in her family pool naked as she had claimed.
"Are you suggesting that he just walked around naked and no one said anything?" Mr Walsh asked.
"Yes, he did it all the time, it was just something that he did," the woman replied.
Mr Walsh also put it to the woman that the first alleged incident could not have taken place in her bedroom as she claimed because it was being renovated at the time and she was sleeping in a sun room with two other children.
"You couldn't have been in that room could you?"
"It was definitely in that room, it was before the renovations," the woman replied.
"Then it cannot have occurred at the time you say," Mr Walsh said.
He also asked the woman why, when she did a television interview with A Current Affair about the alleged abuse, she spoke only about one incident and not two.
"Because that's what they asked me to do - just summarise," the woman replied.
