The lucky winner was Ron Milne from Parkes and the prize was delivered to his door the following morning.
Ron happened to be moving into his new home at the same time so it’s hoped it wasn’t an inconvenient time for him.
Ron has grandchildren who will enjoy this fabulous prize.
The book buyer’s prize of a trip to Queensland to the value of $1000 was won by Trudy Brown who was over the moon when notified of her win.
Trudy is also a Parkes local who bought a book of 10 tickets.
She and her husband are looking forward to arranging the trip, sponsored by Harvey World Travel.
Parkes Rotary Club involved several community groups in the raffle all of whom will benefit from the proceeds. These include Parkes Scouts, Parkes Early Childhood Centre and CanAssist.
The prizes are donated with the cubby house constructed from materials donated by Glass Place, Handi Steel, Nu Clad Vinyl Cladding and Hays Timber and Hardware.
The brand new Holden Colorado was loaned by Broderick Motors for over six weeks to transport the cubby house around to various venues.
Parkes Rotary gratefully thanks all of these great supporters.
Thanks also go to David and Gary Potts at Parkes Bricks, Pavers and Tiles for sending their forklift to lift the cubby onto the truck and help deliver it.
