In last Wednesday’s afternoon bowls, the jackpot was $300 which didn’t go off.
The winners were Frank Gersbach and Keith MacRae with 16+14.
Runners-up were Wal Grant and Col Boehm with 16+17.
On Saturday afternoon, another exciting match took place.
Defending champions Mick Mudiman and Col Boehm defeated Bernie Coleman and Frank Gersbach after 21 ends.
The score was locked at 22-22 after Frank and Bernie picked up five shots on the 19th end to lead by four shots.
Not to be outdone, Col and Mick got four on the last end to take it to sudden death and finally come out victors.
Congratulations to both teams and best of luck to Mick and Col in the final.
Saturday afternoon jackpot pairs was enjoyed by those who played and a great afternoon was had by all.
Winners were Dave Law and Clive Stibbard; runners-up were Kev Robinson and Graham Thomson.
The jackpot was not won and now stands at $300.
Last Sunday the club witnessed some entertaining bowls with the club hosting District Club Singles.
In the semi-finals, Gary Stamford defeated Brett Byrnes and Col Hayward defeated Graham West.
The final was won by Col Hayward against Gary Stamford.
Congratulations to all players involved. Also thanks to Jamie Robinson, Allan Davison and Allan Cameron for umpiring and marking during the day.
Tomorrow afternoon, Mixed Jackpot Pairs will be held.
Names are asked to be in by 12.30pm for a 1pm start – single entries only.
Tonight at the club, the raffles are on followed by a live band ‘Nuthin 2 Serious’, with a Friday the 13th theme.
Dress yourself up or come as you are. A fun night is assured.
