A brilliant 45 points by Michael Smith took the prize.
The round was nothing short of spectacular as the former 17 marker played to an eight handicap.
It will be interesting to see what handicap Smith now plays from.
At the presentation of trophies, Smith thanked Trans Tank for their wonderful trophy.
He also made mention that since he had come under the tutelage of Brian Hogan his game had become more relaxed and had improved out of sight.
The other major highlight of the day was the spectacular round of Mitch McGlashan for the second week in a row.
He went under par again, only this time it was by three shots.
McGlashan fired a brilliant 68 off the stick in a round that contained birdies on the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 8th holes on the front 9.
A further birdie followed on the 11th.
McGlashan turned after nine holes at an impressive three under par 32.
He then followed this with an even par 36 on the back nine.
McGlashan’s only blemishes came on the par three 4th and par four 14th holes where he recorded bogeys.
Ball winners from Saturday’s round were 42 Mitch McGlashan, 41 Brian L Hogan, 40 Rick Glover, Tony Evans, Paul Thomas and Warren Blatch, 39 Geoff Leonard, Garry Phillips, Peter Dixon and Phil Barnard.
Surviving the countback on 38 points were Warwick Wright, Andrew Pigram and Ross Smith.
In the nearest the pin awards, Wayne Parker took out the Idlerite Tyrepower 1st hole at 120cm.
Noel Joseph Goodie cleaned up on the Griffins Leading Edge 4th hole at 287cm.
Terry Hanson proved too good at 414cm on the Dirt Doctor Landscaping 6th hole while on the back nine holes local mayor Ken Keith snared the Harvey Norman 11th after his tee shot came to rest just 282cm from the hole.
On the difficult Westlime sponsored 15th hole Mitch McGlashan two putted for a par after his tee shot finished 225cm from the pin.
The day’s final two awards saw Michael Smith take out the Parkes Ready Mixed Concrete 9th hole in two shots at 209cm.
On the Parkes Heavy Mechanical Repairs sponsored 18th hole in two shots, Wayne Powter was victorious at 95cm.
