The call went out last week and volunteers have been inundated with gear which will go on sale tomorrow at the Parkes Showground from 8am.
All manner of items have been provided and people are sure to pick up many bargains.
Lots of restaurant cutlery and crockery - ideal for church groups or other organisations - will be featured.
Donations can still be made at the showground main pavilion today between 10am and 3pm.
For any enquiries or to arrange pick-up of items, please contact Adrianne Brown (6862 1626, 0412 777 134) or Karen Swindle (6862 5962)
Very successful garage sales were held in March and April this year, and further dates to put in your diary for garage sales are October 26 and November 9.
More than $10,000 was raised in March and April at the garage sales and it is hoped the latest ones will raise more funds to assist people in the Parkes community who have been affected by cancer.
Profits from the garage sales and other fund raising events go towards travel and medical expenses, costing many thousands of dollars each year, for people who suffer from cancer in the Parkes community.
The small group of Can Assist volunteers who organise the garage sales work extremely hard to ensure a successful day.
New members and volunteers are always very welcome.
