Contracting company, PFS Construction, who work through a company called Service Stream were in town for the day to run fixed cable NBN from the telephone exchange to a planned new estate on the east side of town near Western Roadliners bus depot.
The 2.6km length of cable took around eight hours to install.
Being contractors all they could tell us was they were in Parkes to do the one job and didn’t know when they’d be back to lay more.
