Parkes Spacemen Under 18s dominated their clash against the Wellington Cowboys last Sunday, never headed on their way to a 46-10 victory.
Scoring eight tries to two, the Spacecadets were superior in all facets of the game.
Reed Carter opened the scoring with the first of his two tries in the 10th minute.
Two minutes later, Dylan Phillips crossed after a bust by Adam Richards.
Wellington hit back with a converted try before Phillips grabbed his second try for the Spacecadets to lead 18-6 at the break.
The second half started much the same as the first when Carter scored his second try for 22-6 after 13 minutes.
Parkes extended their lead when Shaun Bateson dummied his way through the Cowboys defence.
Caleb Hewitt converted for Parkes to open up a healthy 22 point lead 28-6.
Wellington scored their second and final try with 10 minutes remaining, the game already out of reach.
Tries to Bateson, his second, Richards and Haydon Robinson put the finishing touches on an emphatic performance by the juniors.
They will head into their fourth v third match against Forbes Magpies this Sunday brimming with confidence.

RESERVE GRADE
Parkes Spacemen reserve grade were right in the contest against Wellington Cowboys at Pioneer Oval last Sunday before going down 34-26.
Led by the crafty play of George Wright and Neil Cole coming off the bench, Parkes led 16-10 at half-time.
The visitors were level again one minute after half-time before running away with proceedings in the second half.
Wellington opened the scoring in the 13th minute through some good lead up work that resulted in centre Aiden Ryan crossing under the posts.
Jack Shaw levelled the scores after good vision from Wright saw him spin the ball wide for the classy centre to score out wide.
Lincoln Taylor’s conversion saw the score at 6-all.
Half back Wright was involved in the next try as well when he fired a bullet like pass for Lincoln Taylor to score in the western corner.
The conversion was unsuccessful for 10-6.
Wellington hit back through a try next to the posts by five-eight Josh Toomey.
Five minutes before the break, Terry Lewis crashed over after a bullocking run saw him score next under the posts.
Taylor’s successful conversion saw the Spacemen head into the half-time break leading 16-10.
Wellington restored parity when Sam Coe scored under the posts one minute into the second half.
The Cowboys crossed for two more tries in the space of two minutes as first Travis Hill and then Anthony West scored converted tries to give the visitors a 12 point lead 28-16.
They were in again when Sam Coe scored a runaway try under the posts for 34-16.
Parkes hit back when Neil Cole sent a blistering pass for Dylan Phillips to score.
Cole was the instigator of the final Spacemen try when he split the Wellington defence and found Jordan Clyburn in support to score.
Unfortunately the Spacemen ran out of time with Wellington winning 34-26.
Wright and Cole were standout performers for Parkes in a solid team performance.
