With Cowra’s Colts side forfeiting, the Boars had plenty of fresh legs going into the match.
Parkes attacked from the kick off, dominating possession for the first 10 minutes.
This dominance was converted into points when excellent work from the scrum saw the ball go through quick hands in the backs.
James Dean passed to Cam Standen who quickly sent the ball on to Chris Reynolds.
Reynolds held up his pass well to off-load to Matt Rathbone on the wing, sending him over for the first points of the match.
The Boars came close to scoring again on the 15 minute mark after Cowra had them under pressure in their own half.
Reynolds again showed his versatility by stealing the ball from Cowra during open play.
A chip kick was collected by Cam Standen who ran 40 metres through five attempted tackles only to be pushed out on the five metre line.
Possession switched back and forth between the two teams before a Cowra mistake allowed Standen to kick a penalty goal just before half-time for the Boars to lead 8-0 at the break.
12 minutes into the second half Andrew Bourke looked like he had scored when he dived over in the corner after making a 40 metre dash up the sideline.
The try was disallowed when the linesman raised his flag for a foot on the line.
Shortly after, a knock on by Parkes gave Cowra a scrum feed.
They fumbled the ball at the back of the scrum before James Dean scooped up the loose ball and took it across the line to score.
The conversion hit the upright, then the crossbar, before going over for a 15-0 Parkes lead.
Bourke came close to scoring again before being pushed out in the corner.
The Boars sealed the win two minutes from time when Cameron Standen threw a long ball to Bourke who ran 50 metres and put the ball down between the posts.
The conversion was missed but there was little interest in it as the second grade side had claimed their first win of the season 20-0.
Players Playerwas awarded to Cameron Standen for an excellent performance.
Curtis Carter claimed the three Best and Fairest points with Cameron Standen (2) and Nick Westcott (1) awarded the remaining points.
This Saturday, Parkes Boars host Forbes Platypi at Northparkes Oval.
Second grade kick-off at 1:55pm.
