Bronson MacDonald, who recently completed his Engineering Fabrication Trade Apprenticeship with Bosmac, was awarded a Commendation Award in light of the commitment and hard work he has shown during his apprenticeship.
“Bronson grew from strength to strength and became a great asset to the staff at Bosmac,” Emma Curtis, Skillset’s Field Officer in Parkes said at the award ceremony.
Brady Hart won the Apprentice of the Year for the Parkes region, completing an Automotive Electrical Technology Apprenticeship with Andrews Auto Electrics.
Alyssa Bennett, Skillset’s Group Apprenticeship Program Manager, commended Brady’s achievement.
“Brady is an outstanding young man. He is highly skilled and has been extremely dedicated not only to his job and study, but in being an active member of the Parkes community,” she said.
Brady was chosen from a large number of apprentices currently employed by Skillset in Parkes and surrounding the areas.
Rodney and Jenny Barnes from RE & JA Barnes were also recognised for their commitment to training local youth, presented with the Small Host of the Year Award.
“The Skillset Parkes Award ceremony celebrates and recognises the outstanding achievements of trainees and apprentices in our community.
Of course Brady and Bronson’s achievements would not have been possible without the support and dedication of host businesses such as Andrews Auto Electrics, Bosmac and RE & JA Barnes,” Emma said.
Brady will now compete for the Central West and State titles.
The overall Skillset awards ceremony will be held on July 19, at Skillset’s Flannery Centre in Bathurst.
