Thursday 25th: Both teams played at home. The 2’s def Cowra and the 4’s were def by Forbes.

Social Bowls 23rd March: Margaret Morrison, Dee Melville, Helen Heraghty def Rosemary Mitchell, Brenda Davies, Margaret McRae. Margaret’s team lead for the majority of the match but Helen’s team came up trumps on the final end. Shirley Hunter, Frances Charlton, Lorna Dunford had a draw with Shirley Hunter, Lorraine Heald, Beryl Watts. Lorna’s team came home strong over the last two ends to force a draw.

13th April is the closing date for players and non players to please place their names on the sheet for District Veterans’ Day to be held at our Club on 6th May.

Nominations for the CWD Singles (Forbes) and CWD Triples (Parkes) close on 1st April.

Thursday 8th April will see the final round of the No. 4 pennants played as a home game against Parkes Railway Diggers. Would all Pennant Players please be at the Club by 8.00am to help set up for morning tea.

There will be no Bowls News on Easter Monday, (no paper published).

Tuesday 6th April will see the semi final of the Club Fours: Merilyn Rodgers (sub Beryl Watts), Ellie Hetherington, Brenda Davies, Lorraine Heald v Kath Hutchison, Nancy Ewin, Helen Heraghty, Margaret McRae.13th April the final of the Club Fours will be played, also Social Bowls, combined with our monthly Trading Table.

If you are interested in learning to play bowls, we have a group who get together every Wednesday morning (all beginners) between 9.30am and 11am, the Club also has spare bowls. Arrive and depart at a time suitable to yourself.
