Bogan Gate Golf Club held their Christmas party for its members and associates at the Forbes Inn, Forbes.

This yearly function is alternated between Parkes and Forbes on a yearly basis.

So on December 12 everyone turned up in their glad-rags and was ready to party.

The big surprise of the evening was to bestow “life membership” on two stalwarts, namely Ida and Don McIntrye.

Don and Ida have been with Bogan Gate Golf Club since inception at the old Army Camp some 30 years ago and the premises we now occupy.

Ida is still a playing member with the club and along with the many friends have made the club what it is today.

President Colin McKay (Men’s) and President Cheryl Hodges (Women’s) carried out the honours of presenting plaques to Ida and Don.
