Well, it’s that time of year again..where have the months gone?
Tonight we have our end-of-season party, with Flower Power as the theme and our 18-hole competition is finished.
Results from last week:
On Wednesday we played a stableford event for Parkes Retravision trophy, which was won by Liz Matthews with 39 points (and a cut in handicap).
Runner-up, on 38 was Colleen Flynn (one ball), followed by Margaret Hogan, 37, and Annette Tierney, 36, one ball each.
Annette found the weather a very great contrast to New York, Greenland and Reykjavik!

Last Saturday saw 14 starters compete in the final round of the Ethel Kenyon stableford event, sponsored by Margaret Hogan.
Margaret had the amazing score of 43, but did not want to accept her own trophy, so Kaye Jones was declared the winner with 36 points, on a countback to Lyn Davison, 36 one ball.
Next came Ann Goodie with 34 points, one ball, on a countback to Colleen Flynn and Lesley Fisher, but no balls for them.
Margaret Hogan is down to a handicap of 16, well done.

Gladdie also won the Better Times Ahead award, sponsored by Ann Goodie.
Today’s event is the President’s vs Captains team challenge, with teams being decided by a delayed draw.
Tonight’s party is 7 for 7.30pm and it should be a good night.
There will be one more bulletin for this year and a reminder that the lady golfers are more than welcome to play in the events programmed by the men during the summer months.
